When in Veneto region, we decided to visit Possagno, home of Antonio Canova (1757-1822), the great neoclassical sculptor who was born here. We visited Gipsoteca (gallery of plaster casts) which displays gypsum models, terracotta sketches, and marbles by Canova. The other main building is the artist’s birthplace “casa natale di Antonio Canova” (the house where he was born), which today contains an art gallery. 🇮🇹🌞 #verytroubledchild #possagno #italia #canova
