Beautiful #Monopol Hotel in #Breslau (Southern #Poland).

During WWII, Hans Frank was the Nazi appointed Governor of Poland based here in Breslau and upon instructions from Hitler himself, he was responsible to loot three invaluable masterpieces (the Leonardo’s Lady with Ermine, a #Raphael and a Rembrandt) from the Czartoryski Collection in #Kraków. After the war, the #Leonardo and the #Rembrandt had been found in a crate belonging to Hans Frank. The Raphael’s masterpiece “Portrait of a Young Man” remains still missing today.
