Fantastic French lunch at L’Avant Comptoir: fast, casual, perfect in the 6th Arrondissement. We stepped behind the entrance curtain with the painted-on pig, and rubbed elbows with locals and food-industry people gathered around the zinc bar. We ordered 6 dishes from the chalkboard menu (broth, carrot soup, fish croquettes, duck breast, mushrooms and baba au rum) and everything was exquisite! There is a free flow bread (as usual!) and all you can eat hand-churned Bordier butter if you are so lucky not to count your calories 😁❤️🇫🇷 #paris #verytroubledchild #cuisinefrançaise

Museé de Cluny known as National Museum of the Middle Ages is a museum of arts and crafts from the Middle Ages, including the Hôtel de Cluny, which houses the collection, and the adjoining Thermes de Cluny ancient thermal baths. We came here to see the famous “Lady and the Unicorn” wall-hanging tapestry. It is one of six tapestries, woven in around 1500, representing the five senses against a detailed red background. They are marvelous and mysterious: you have to see them with your own eyes! When in Paris, go to Chez Georges on Rue du Mail. This legendary venue has been a Parisian institution since decades. Its flawless traditional cuisine and service have made this one of Paris’ most beloved brasseries. We enjoyed their topinambur soup, sautéed mushrooms, baked salmon and lentils, but their menu is vast and contains everything 😁🇫🇷❤️ #paris #verytroubledchild #cuisinefrançaise

Museum of Hunting and Nature can be described as Deyrolle (famous taxidermy shop on Rue du Bac) on steroids. The Museum, founded in 1967 by wealthy industrialists François and Jacqueline Sommer is a must-see when in Paris. Recently renovated and curated with a nod to the wunderkammers of old, each room features a wooden cabinet dedicated to a different hunted animal. Concealed in the cabinet drawers are bronze casts of the animal’s footprints and turds, depictions of the animal in its natural habitat, and a poem as a tribute to the animal.

When in Paris we make three non- French culinary exceptions: one is Middle Eastern cuisine, second is pizza at one of our trusty Parisian pizzerias, and third is burger at Ralph’s Restaurant in Saint Germain. We always go with Santa Fe & Ralph’s burgers, and we enjoyed their take on the classic Spritz! It’s always fun to dine here ❤️ #paris #verytroubledchild

Finally reached the Bibliotheque Nationale de France to see some amazing artifacts including the Grand Cammeo de France of 23 AD, which is one of most important works of art of the Roman era which has reached our age.
